Half-DozenRiders.com is an online community for people who love motorcycles. Our goal is to provide a place where riders can come together and share their passion.

Half-DozenRiders.com was founded by a rider who wanted a place:

• To find out about rides and other bike related events
• For reliable advice and tips for working on motorcycles
• To see photos of what other riders had done to customize their bikes
• Where riders could come together and discuss everything and anything motorcycle related
• To buy, sell, and trade motorcycle parts and accessories

Half-Dozen Riders History

Half-Dozen Riders was born in the summer of 2003 when two riders that met regularly after work and on weekends to ride together were talking about local bike clubs. They enjoyed riding in groups, attending any/all local charity rides they could, but weren't sure about the prospects of becoming a "proby" with a local bike club. There was a small group of about four other riders that would join them occasionally and it was always a good time hanging out and riding, and it seemed like news of different bike related events were always trickling in through the associations of each rider.

One evening after the group had been out riding "FatBoy" was up late working and the notion of a small informal bike club called "Half-Dozen Riders" was born. As you might imagine, the traditional ideas for hats, shirts, jackets, and rides were all included in the brainstorming process, but since FatBoy is a computer programmer, it was only natural that the group would have a web site dedicated to showcasing the club and their bikes.

As the site planning began and the idea was shared with others, it became clear that the site had real potential for a great number of motorcycle enthusiasts. If discussion boards, classifieds, expert mechanics & industry specialists, event information, and other community tools were added to the site it would allow riders to come together over the Internet in a virtual rally environment unlike any other. So that is what FatBoy focused on creating.

Half-DozenRiders.com was opened to the masses in the spring of 2005 and we hope that membership spreads throughout the Nation. Our goal is to bring riders together and provide a central place to find out about rides & rallies, buy-sell-trade bike related items, get reliable information pertaining to customization-performance-maintenance, and showcase what people are doing to their bikes. We don't care WHAT you ride, we just care THAT you ride.
